This research aimed to verify the intensity of narcissism evidenced in social networks of Brazilian postgraduate students stricto sensu in the business area. For which a Virtual Narcissism Intensity Perceptions Questionnaire was used. The sample consisted of 605 stricto sensu postgraduate students from the business area of different universities in Brazil. Data were analyzed through Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA). Among the results found, master's students present greater intensity of virtual narcissism, in relation to the same elements measured for doctoral students. AFE reflected 3 groups for master's students and 4 groups for doctoral students. They were cataloged according to their common characteristics, and were named as: “Self-promotion”; "Egocentrism"; “Presumption” and “Self-confidence”. One of the main contributions of this study is believed to be the creation of a questionnaire to capture Perceptions about the Intensity of Virtual Narcissism that was inspired by the model of Raskin and Terry (1988). On the other hand, the number of respondents who adhered to the research was significant, which shows the interest of people in the topic addressed. Thus, the study innovates because it expands a topic of relevance in the academic field, since most of the behavioral studies are about narcissism in its conventional form and do not consider contemporary aspects introduced by the new virtual communication technologies.
