Abstract

We are three former students of Professor Elisa who share a deep respect, admiration and gratitude for her. When we were invited to write this text collectively, we realized that what would best suit what we wanted to demonstrate would be an article through which we could express these feelings. We chose to write a text in her honor, talking about our trajectories and how Professor Elisa's presence contributed to our education. It will be possible to see that we have escaped academic rigors here. With this in mind, we will talk a little about our trajectory as advisees of someone who has a deep zeal for scientific work but who, in addition, is deeply human in her relationships, even those that involve the infamous hierarchy such as the one that exists between advisor and advisees.
