Abstract
The study aims to describe and evaluate the improvement of results-based management methodology at the Hospital das Clínicas (HC) of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) presenting the first results, analyzes and monitoring of indicators as a measure of quality and improvement . This is an experience report with description and evaluation of data referring to the indicators monitored during the years 2016 and 2017 based on the Management by Results methodology adopted at the hospital in 2013. To this end, consultations were carried out on documents of the company's internal system. institution, intranet, websites and Geplanes, in addition to monitoring the stages of monitoring indicators with the hospital units. As a result, the hospital achieved an improvement in the indicators' performance indexes from 59.04 in 2016 to 75.05 in 2017. The study identified that, the monitoring practice promotes the consolidation and maturity of management by results.
