Crescimento econômico através das exportações: um estudo empírico para os países dos BRICS
Abstract
Com base na teoria de Thirlwall e considerando o aprofundamento das relações comerciais internacionais nas últimas décadas, este estudo buscou identificar quais países integrantes do bloco econômico dos BRICS têm seu crescimento econômico limitado pelo Balanço de Pagamentos. Para tanto, foi conduzida uma análise empírica utilizando a metodologia ARDL (Autoregressive Distributed Lag), abrangendo o período de 1961 a 2023. Os resultados apontam que, entre os países analisados, Rússia e Índia apresentam crescimento econômico restringido pelo comércio internacional.
