Custo de acessibilidade entre residência e trabalho: um enfoque das características individuais, familiares e locais

Este artigo analisa o quanto as características individuais, familiares e locais podem influenciar na probabilidade de a própria pessoa ocupada ter maior ou menor custo de acessibilidade no deslocamento da sua residência ao local de trabalho. Para tanto, utiliza-se o tempo médio gasto do domicílio ao trabalho (disponível na PNAD) como custo de acessibilidade, cuja variável de resposta ordenada é estimada por máxima verossimilhança com o modelo logit ordenado generalizado (MLOG). Os principais resultados alcançados apontam que as famílias sem filhos promovem um efeito negativo sobre a probabilidade de um menor custo de acessibilidade; o aumento da idade faz elevar as chances dos indivíduos de se preocuparem com os seus custos de acessibilidade; e, quando as pessoas ocupadas recebem auxílio de transporte, aumentam as chances de terem até 30 minutos de percurso entre sua residência e trabalho.
