Abstract

In this paper, the goal is to characterize and to analyze the microcredit users and the productive credit as source of promotion and development in Viçosa/MG. It has a description of the National Guided Productive Microcredit Program and the quantitative data analysis. Through factorial analysis and clusters it was possible to tipificate and to group the microenterpreneurs. The results highlighted the limitations to democratization of the credit, since the rate interest and bureaucracy are still considered as barriers that make impossible the access to resources. It was also observed that the lower is the enterprise, the higher is the aversion to the credit, therefore showing the shortage of the regional credit agents who would guide and encourage the businessmen to develop their activities and the region consequently.
