Abstract
The aim of this research is to evaluate the contracting models of hospital laundry service of the Hospital of Federal University of Uberlândia regarding cost control and improvement in the care of patients and hospital professionals and the availability of hospital layette under appropriate conditions of use. With a qualitative approach and use of a single case study, data collection was done through documentary research in contracts, memos, letters and terms of reference. From 2010 to 2018, there were three different contracting models of the garment processing service with improvements and adjustments, in a constant learning process of its managers. As a contribution, a new model was suggested as a way to overcome the barriers and problems of the previous three contracts and improve service delivery, with the possibility of cost reduction, easy management and adequacy of outsourcing.
