Uma contribuição ao desenvolvimento da Economia Política Internacional do Brasil

Este artigo tem por objetivo elencar alguns aspectos críticos da Economia Política Internacional – EPI em sua atual configuração, isto é, enquanto pretenso campo de reflexão e interpretação da realidade econômica e política internacional, bem como destacar brevemente elementos fundamentais do pensamento econômico para a compreensão das relações entre a economia e a política na esfera internacional emanados de autores clássicos. É o caso de Smith, Ricardo, List e Keynes, que tiveram forte envolvimento com questões com tal recorte. Nesse sentido, o trabalho tem caráter eminentemente exploratório e busca somente estimular um debate com o sentido de promover a construção de um marco fundamental para o desenvolvimento dessa área de pensamento e sua aplicabilidade no Brasil, resgatando inclusive seu conteúdo interdisciplinar. Por essa razão, exclui-se do escopo do artigo a análise marxista da realidade internacional que, por razões metodológicas, já se coloca nessa perspectiva.
