Abstract

At the invitation of Farol – Journal of Organization Studies and Society, we wrote this text to pay tribute to Elisa Yoshie Ichikawa, our dear advisor. To do this, we revisited our memories with Elisa and, based on our experiences as her students, we have woven this text together. Firstly, we have Luana's account, who is her doctoral student, followed by Alice's tribute, who was supervised by Professor Elisa during her sandwich doctorate and, finally, Gabriel's account, who was also her doctoral student. Although the accounts are individual, the learning acquired from living with Elisa, on the road and in everyday life, permeates us and, in a way, crosses us, transforms us and unites us.
