MOTHER-CHILD CARE IN A BASIC HEALTH UNIT: CONTRIBUTIONS FROM PARTICIPATORY MANAGEMENT

Abstract

The objective of this dissertation was to understand the Participatory Management strategies, as an instrument for maternal and child care. The information was obtained through semi-structured interviews, focus groups and conversation circles. The policies that permeated this work were the National Humanization Policy (2004) of the Ministry of Health, the Permanent Education Policy, instituted by ordinance GM / MS 1.996 / 2007, the Care Management Strategy in the Territory and the Pre- Natal and Puerpério, developed by the Municipal Health Department of Belo Horizonte. The conceptual bases were anchored in Participatory Management, in social representations, in planning health actions and popular participation. As a product, there is the structuring of an electronic leaflet, which will be released to users, with the initial postpartum guidelines on the fifth day visit. We concluded that the research participants understood the diversity and the importance of the space provided by the groups for discussions and reflections. We perceive how this space humanizes relationships and co-responsibility the actors involved in decision-making.
