ANALYSIS OF HEALTH CARE FOR WOMEN IN SMALL MUNICIPALITIES IN THE BELO HORIZONTE HEALTH REGION

Abstract

ABSTRACT

Objective: This work is part of an excerpt from the research project "The management of the Unified Health System: a study in small municipalities in the Regional Health of Belo Horizonte" which aims to analyze the indicators proposed by the interfederative pact 2017 -2021 that measure factors associated with women's health, including pregnant and postpartum women. Theoretical foundation: Adherence to programs that aim at actions to adapt and expand the care of women's health care is essential. Method: descriptive analysis based on secondary data from health information systems, focusing on eight small municipalities in the Regional Health of Belo Horizonte. Results: The results showed that there were some advances, but there are still factors that must be structured to promote quality assistance to women's health. Conclusion: There is a need to invest in improving access and better organization of Primary Care for prenatal care and childbirth.
