Abstract
This paper focuses on discussions about inventory management in the covid-19 pandemic context, focusing on the pharmaceutical sector. Given this scenario, the following question arose: how did pharmacies adapt to the impacts imposed by the pandemic on their inventory management? The main objective of the research was to understand and describe the strategies adopted by a pharmacy located in the city of Pio IX-PI. The information presented comes from empirical data, which were analyzed using a qualitative approach and interpretive analysis. With the outbreak of the pandemic, the pharmaceutical sector suffers from a great demand for essential supplies to contain the virus and from a lack of products in stock. The case study illustrates how pharmacy IX has adapted to the impacts imposed by the pandemic on its inventory management. The study highlights the relevance of stock management in times of economic, social and health crisis.
