O PROCESSO DE TRABALHO DO ENFERMEIRO EM CIRURGIAS DE REMOÇÃO DE ÓRGÃOS SÓLIDOS PARA TRANSPLANTE

Abstract

The aim of this study is to describe the nurse's work process in surgeries to remove solid organs for transplantation. Methodology: Descriptive, exploratory and qualitative study. Data collection was carried out with 9 nurses, through semi-structured interviews, and data analysis was performed using the content analysis technique. Theoretical Reference: The framework was subsidized by contextualizations in the field of a “Brief historical and legal contextualization” and reflections on “The nursing team in transplants”. Analysis and discussion of results: The results were organized into thematic categories, namely: Professional profile of the participants; Organization of materials and supplies for surgery to remove solid organs; Donor documentation and removal process; Start of surgery and perfusion; Conditioning and transport of organs.
Conclusion: This study presents elements of reasoning for nurses to formulate their checklists, systematic forms, assistance flows and have an improvement in the organization of the work process related to solid organ surgery for transplants.
